Dear Friends of High Mountain Sports,

Currently Deep Creek Lake Temperature is 76 degrees. Current lake elevation is 2459.45. The lake rose about 6 inches last week after the heavy rains. By October 22 of this year the lake is supposed to drop to 2454 to permit replacement of a valve in the powerhouse.

The big High Mountain Sports Annual Ski and Snowboard Sale is coming up this Labor Day Weekend. We also blow out most of our summer inventory. Great deals to be had.

Our Ski and Snowboard Swap will be in October during Autumn Glory Weekend.

The High Mountain Sports Annual Bust Largness Wakeboard Contest was a blast. Results. Photos. DJ Strizy from Sounds Fun Entertainment was spinning some fresh tunes. We had incredible new boats from Nautique, Malibu, and Mastercraft.

The Savageman Half Iron Triathlon is September 16. High Mountain Sports is putting a relay team together for the race. We have Elyzabeth "Savage" doing the swim, Dave Ritchey doing the run, and myself doing the bike. Due to the elevation changes this is a unique if not nutso race. Several pros are due to race. The Mayor of DC is expected also. I have done the bike course twice in training and I am still hurting. Community Guide.
