When is your Ski and Snowboard Swap and how does it work? I hear it rips!
Every year during the Autumn Glory Festival we hold the Annual Autumn Glory Ski and Snowboard Swap. This is usually the second weekend in October - great parades, crafts and stuff. You can drop off your equipment to sell Friday or Saturday. We take downhill, xc, old wooden skis, snowhoes, snowboards, and bikes. We do not sell poles or clothing - it's a logistics thing. If it sells you can take 100% of your selling price and apply it towards a future store credit or we can mail you a check after we take a sales commission. If it does not sale YOU MUST PICK IT UP SUNDAY AFTERNOON or it will be donated to charity. Kids stuff sells great or any other equipment that a novice just starting out would need. If you want to buy it is for sale as soon as it is dropped off. You may need to visit more than once to find that pair of boots that are perfect. This event can be hectic but we always supply experts who will do their best to give fitting advice.
When is your really big ski/snowboard sale?
I'm glad you asked. The Annual Labor Day Ski and Snowboard Sale happens every year on Labor Day Weekend friday thru monday. We sell last year's leftover equipment, special factory closeouts, and salesmans samples all at bargain prices.

How does your warranty work?
High Mountain Sports does not offer a warranty on products but the majority of our vendors offer a warranty on their products for a period of one year from original purchase date. More and more manufacturers are requiring a proof of purchase, such as a receipt. The warranty usually covers manufacturers defects and does not include wear and tear. For example, if you bought a snowboard and hit a rock with it, tearing out the edge, this would not be covered. If the edge separated and the board came apart due to no fault of yours it would generally be covered. If you think you do have a legitimate warranty claim, bring the item to High Mountain Sports. All clothing must be washed to be returned to many companies. We will send it back to the manufacturer. You will be charged the shipping dependent on the item and its destination. The manufacturer will inspect it, make a decision, and replace, or send back your product without covering it under warranty. This process usually takes from one to 4 weeks. Remember even the best products in the world occasionally break.
